Come on, you know you can do it - it's nearly 2 months away, plus you know we all want to see that 'stang out there. ;)

We only need 5 more people to get the numbers where they need to be! Invite everyone you can think of guys, the depsoit deadline is tomorrow! Special circumstances can be accomodated, just let me know!

Message I sent to the SHO lists:

This is the last day to get your deposits in for the Gingerman Track Day on Oct. 27th. We need 4 more people to make this thing happen - which I have tentatively lined up through friends of a couple people that are going (Don & Ryan).

The date to have your final payment of $75 (if you only paid your deposit) to me is Friday, Oct. 14th.

If I don't get the needed 4 people by today's deadline, I am sure there will be a few stragglers that want in at the last minute. If not, I will come up with an alternative plan. Either way, at this point, there are enough people that this event is definitely on. (RAIN OR SHINE).

Thanks to those that have helped me get this organized and helped find attendees.

All information on the event will be kept up-to-date on the TCCA at:
http://www.taurusclub.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=23108

Thanks guys!

I *might* be tagging along with Mike Nelson. Of course I'll be flying up there so I won't have a car to race but it will be good to see everyone again. :)

I have a few questions. Is this a lapping event and are there going to be any instructors? Who is working the track? Any corner workers? How is the event going to be handled? Separate groups based on experience? Insurance? Do you plan on having people go full speed? Do you mind having someone on the track with a race prepped car on race tires going full speed (My ****** is not that fast, I can turn a 1:46 in an ITA Neon)? Maybe I should call you and talk to you over the phone.

I was planning on going with Speedtrial USA the weekend before. I'm installing a new engine in my ITA ****** GT and wouldn't mind running with a smaller group and get more track times I wanted a shake down of my car before winter so I could do any small projects over the winter.

I'll answer for Jason, but I'm sure that he will chime in.....

This is a DE-type event.Yes, there are corner workers and a full track setup (which includes insurance). The full track facility is rented for the day (7:00 AM to 5:00 PM). We usually run three run groups: Novice, Intermediate, and Advanced. The Advanced folks also act as instructors. The Advanced group has a LOT of track experience, and a number will run on track tires. Don't worry, even with track tires, you will be passed by most of the Advanced group!!

If you have an other questions, you can PM mself or Jason. I can then pass along my cell for a conversation if needed.

As Ron stated (thanks Ron ;) ) We will have instructors and corner workers. There will be separate run groups (sounds like you would want to go with advanced). There should not be any problem running a fully race prepped car. There will be at least one F/I SHO there will a full race setup, so you won't be the only one. On the other hand, there will be some people there with mostly stock Tauruses (not running with the advanced group, of course).

If you have any other questions feel free to contact me. It can be hard to get a hold of me on my cell sometimes because I work in a hospital during the day and my cell doesn't work in there and at night Mon-Thurs I have classes, so leave a voicemail and I'll get back to you ASAP. :)

Dont' know why my other post didn't make it but I'll repost it.

I got another guy who wants to come. He's got a ****** Wagon GTX (1.8 Turbo).

One question, can we pay day of or do we need to pay upfront?

I would prefer that you pay upfront if possible because I have to pay the remaining track fees (less the deposit) on the day of the event and I'd rather not have to front my own money for it (like I did with part of the deposit), but if you need to wait until then to pay, let me know.

I can probably pay upfront... but probably only by 2 weeks. I want to make sure my car is ready before I pay. Engine is in, but have some gaskets and seals to pick up before I start it up for the first time. Plus I need my ground controls. I'll get with the other guy and see what he wants to do.

Final payments are due tomorrow for the Oct. 27th
track day! If you have not paid in full yet, please
do so or get a hold of me so arrangements can be made.

Please check the list at:
http://www.taurusclub.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=23108
Let me know if anything on there is incorrect. That
is the list I maintain.

Thanks!
