I can’t see the question please help
I have my tune downloaded to my SCT X4 and I filled it up with 93 octane. Now when I add the tune I need to keep the car off then add everything like my gapped plugs, thermostat & map sensor. Then follow all the instructions for adding the custom tune? I’m worried about changing the map sensor and thermostat before taking the stock tune from the car because the tuner takes the stock tune then goes straight into adding the custom tune.

You can make a backup of your stock tune at any time. I recommend backing it up, then backing it up to a computer and/or external SD before flashing the tune.

You personally gapped the plugs, right? They don't come gapped when you buy them (or at least where I bought them).

The only thing that is really going to affect your stock tune is the map sensor. Everything else can be installed and honestly ran without doomsday but obviously nothing you would want to do long-term.

Most common fix for the unsupported vehicle is your tuner is not updated. It may take you a few times going back and forth between the car to do updates. Try doing an update then go to the car and try it then go back and do an update and so on and so on.

Keep us posted!

I’m trying to save my stock tune on the SCT x4 I see “unsupported vehicle” under “preloaded tune” in “program vehicle”

Yea, it looks like the only option is during flashing on yours.

I don't agree with that. You don't install it with the engine running, but the switch must be on to download / upload. I don't think the temp of the engine has any effect on flashing.

I've never dealt with Livernoise, but they don't have the best reputation in the SHO community.

I am a believer that livernois is why I lost cylinder one on my motor. Others with the same tune have had similar problems, unfortunately.
That said, I had no problem loading their tune and in fact I did it on my way home at a gas station from when I bought the car lol.
Car in ON mode (not accessory) but engine not running. In other words anytime you're hitting the start button your foot should not be on the brake. This goes for any tune to the best of my knowledge unless you're playing with a diesel.

I flashed the new tune and saved stock tune with all stock parts on- then I saved the stock tune to computer.- Kept car off while adding mods. Turned car on - capped coolant off - tuned heat on high - no codes - let engine run - checked abs - clears KAMS like kryptto said. I tried to live data log with the computer but I couldn’t figure it out. I watched the data I could on the tuner and drove it around for 30 minutes NOT BEATING ON IT like told. At the end I didn’t beat on it but was heaver on the acceleration. It worked perfectly and the tune did everything I wanted it too. Not only by making the car faster but simpler things like showing the car selection and showing my traction control. Thank yall for the huge help

When I log I connect my computer to the livewire but you have to be at the main menu. It will not log in gauge mode. Livewire to obd2 port

What do I need to click on the laptop side for it to show data? I have a SCT X4

Open livelink and click on "i want to datalog vehicle", then you click the button to test communication with the device and the laptop, then after that you should see live data pop up.

Yeah it's pretty automated - shame Livernois doesn't provide a template of options to log. I am traveling for work - otherwise can share one to open and use.

You should contact their team and ask for a template because you wish to make sure your car is not having any issues you needg to be aware of.

My guess they prefer to tell their customers not to datalog. Makes it easier not to have to explain what your car is doing.

AJP always asks for logs as well as a guy I had tune my car using HP tuner. It's a way to make sure the settings are not causing damage.

My two cents - just like a physical trainer based on my age and weight might suggest certain level of training based on my tread mill or cardiogram. Just saying always good to get a datalog after tuning.

Hey I’m about to start live data logging with the SCT X4 connected to the computer. I’m now to the point where it’s giving me a bunch of files. What files do I need to pick for the best information to send back to GH or just to know in general. Thank y’all D7d073cfdf4902bd437c3958d543751a
