Hey guys been lurking a while trying to read up and learn. Bought a 2010 SHO PP a month ago and it has 73k on it. I'm loving it so far! Very fast! Few questions. First it seems one of the previous owners installed an exhaust on it. I haven't had a chance to get under it yet to see if I can tell what kind. But I was wondering if someone had the knowhow to put an exhaust on did they maybe tune it too? Is there an way to tell if it's currently tuned? Can you tell the dif between the 2 and 3 bar map? Maybe I can at least check that? Other than that my other question would be Unleashed or Livernois? I like the simplicity of set and forget of LMS but like how Unleashed can dial it in from data logging even tho I'm not sure how to do that! Plus I like how Unleashed SCT tuners have the gauges. Also what's the dif between the Livewire and X4?

Well I can answer part of your question, it is unlikely that the person who owned the car before you left the car tuned when they sold it. In order to unlock the SCT x4 so that it can be used on another vehicle it has to first return the original married vehicle to stock. So selling a vehicle without returning the stock would render the X4 useless.. but if I'm wrong someone will correct me

This.

Don't know off hand but the part numbers are different for the 2 bar and 3 bar.

Just a thought; but pull one of the easy plugs and check the gap an serial number, that will give you a clue, if it does not have a cold air intake that will give you another clue. I agree it unlikely someone left a tune on it also, lots of people just do exhaust because that's what people have done for years. As a heads up I had 50000 and did a plug change and it made a world of difference, gained 2.5 average MPG first day. Its a fun car I think most of us think there is a tune on it because we just don't expect it to be that quick. Welcome to the SHO.

If you have an questions other than what has been answered above, feel free to ask without hesitation. We could get you set up with the 4+X tune with the right parts on that 2010 SHO

Check out 5 Star Tuning as another option, you can usually get the SCT X4 with tunes for less than $450 shipped! I have 5 Star tunes and Unleashed tunes with an SCT X4 and both are much faster than stock. I had 5 Star on my F150 as well they are smooth and reliable. I am currently only running bolt-ons, Ford Touring exhaust made by Borla, cold air kit that SOMEONE copied from Air Raid and private labeled, colder thermostat, gapped the plugs and the tuner of course.

I do have a 3 bar map sensor but noticed little to no difference over 2 bar map sensor with my tunes so hitting the dyno soon to see maybe I am just too used to the car by now.

Thanks guys. Couple more questions? I've got all the stuff. Livewire, 3 bar map, plugs and tstat. I emailed Torrie about how to go about installation procedure but haven't heard back. So how does this work? Are the tunes already installed on the Livewire or does Torrie email them to me? Also like I said I have a feeling this car was tuned before. Will Torrie be able to tell if a 170 stat is already installed? I'd hate to open it up if there's already one installed?
