I removed the front emblem and tried to install the Yamaha item i purchased and it would not fit. I destroyed one of the emblems trying to get the yamaha emblem to fit the inside diameter. I know somebody on this board said it could be done, how?

The Yamaha emblem won't fit because your car is a Ford. Didn't anyone tell you?

Seriously, I know 99V8SHO on this forum has the Yamaha emblem. Try PM'ing him.

You do know that Yamaha made the part of you engine that breaks and causes thousands worth of damage? I haven’t heard much of the Ford parts busting that bad (With the exception of some peoples transaxlels)

Has anybody installed the rear emblem from the GEN 2 to the front? (like the GEn2 badge above)

Since i have already removed it i was just wondering , would it look bad?

I've got body colored mesh in my front grill now. I'm going to put the SHO letters that were on the rear in there. I think Eric L did this too.

I've got the Yamiehammer oval pasted over the Fraud emblem in the back now but no other emblems or placards on the body. :corn:

Paul, how did you get ths mesh to sit right. I have toyed with the idea of cutting out the insert in with the ford badge on it, the whole thing. I though that big oval hole left would look real good filled up with some of that wire mesh stuff. I couldnt see how to get it out front flush with the bumper cover though. I could see how to but it in the back, behind everything, but would it be noticable? Any pictures you care to share?

take care

Mine is mounted on the back side. I used the original mounting screws. I was going to paint the mesh black and glue on the red SHO letters.

Yamaha didn't make the cams. They just put them in the motor. :thumb:

My mesh is just screwed in as well. The holes in the mesh actually lined up perfectly w/ the mounting screws. Then I bent the edge over the back of the bumper so it would clear the bumper core. I left mine in raw aluminum, which looks good so far. Very OE appearance... only hotter.

Love the MESH grill , did you all take off your front bumper to install?

Looks awesome on the silver and tan car!

I had to remove the bumper cover, yes.The hardest part was getting the mesh behind the lower grill opening.
