anyone done a swap like this? there is a lot wrong with the stocker on my sho and gen III slo's are a dime a dozen at the local junkyard. being that the 3.0 vulcan and ATX sho share the same subframe in the older years would a 3.0l vuclan post 95 work the same? if nothing else i can pull one and try it out but i'm trying to save the time, hopefully someone's done this before. thanks!:thumb:

I'm not sure, but I have seen a MUCH lighter weight subframe with much more bulkier arms at a dealership. It had all the same engine mounting and ect patterns as the SHO. It cought my attention when I glanced passed it. I took the part number down and was going to post about it, but never did. It seems like it's off an '03 model of some Ford vehicle.

When I went up to Northeast SHO to pick up an MTX, Kirk showed me a Gen II that they had just intalled a Gen III subframe onto. The steering system was from a Gen III SHO which sounds like a nice upgrade, the way he described it.

According to Kirk, they have done several of these conversions at NE SHO. So you might want to talk to Kirk or Chris about it.
