how can you correct the rear sag that is so common on these cars? also, I dont like how the rear wheels sit further under the wheel well than in the front, any easy ways to correct this?

You won't have 1" of clearance. When you put the new springs on,,,leave one off and re-assemble the strut/tire/spindle stuff. That gives you a "mounted" wheel with no spring on it. Put a floor jack under the wheel and raise it up, all the way up. You will be able to see and measure the clearance. Be sure to check up in the wheel well above the fender lip, the inner fender curves in there. The narrowest part is usually right next to the rear door,,about 10:00 O'clock on the drivers side. The top of the wheel moves in a little as the wheel moves up, making this more accurate than just laying a straight edge against the wheel. I did some modifications on my 92 that widened the rear track about 1/4" on each side. That gave me only 1/8" clearance with 225/55-16 tires mounted on 16x7 with 36mm offset rims. Just remember; measuring is a lot easier and cheaper than body work, or custom wheels that won't fit.lynchmob723:
