Hi All,

Ran codes for one of the local SHO guys on his 94 MTX. Here's the results of the KOEO (in order on the reader):

111, 10, 173, 175, 176, 211, 528, 542

Ran the KOEO. Here's the results from that test:

10, 111

From the info I have it looks like he has Oxygen sensors and maybe a fuel pump. What does the group think?

Thanks,

Andy

You can't have a code 10.

The codes would indicate a bad O2 sensor.

Code 211 is a bad cam sensor.

The code 542 code mean nothing and can be disregarded.

I wasn't sure of the "10" but that code that came up on the reader during both tests. Thanks for the info I will pass it on to him.

I have a partial list of codes that I printed out from the old SHOtimes FAQ. On that list code #542 is described as "Fuel pump secondary circuit failure". Wouldn't that indicate a fuel pump that is going bad? #528 wasn't on the SHOtimes list so I couldn't figure that one out.

Thanks

all the codes are 3 digits, but there is a one-digit separator between the stored and current codes, so you have to disregard that. I would count them again to make sure you have it right.

I was lazy and used my Innova code reader rather than the jumper method. I also cleared the codes when I was done. We can recheck them in a day or two to verify the code count. In the interim he can collect the parts for the cam position and 02 sensors.

Thanks again for all the info!

No every SHO gets that code when they shut down abruptly. So it really does not mean anything.
