Gen I SLO Interior Into The SHO?

I found a SLO in the local yard with black interior that i want to salvage for my SHO(i hate the mocha,love the black).Everythnig should bolt right in,correct?I`m using the SHO seats(dyed)and guage cluster.The door panels has power,so i`ll bolt my electronics in.The console is auto(of course)but i think i can make a polished aluminum plate to cover the gap which i can also mount my(other

)electronics to it`ll look good.I`ve heard the dash is a PITA,but if anythnig,i have ALOT of time.I can even sell my interior to help cover the cost.Should it work out right?

I think it would as long as it the same year/style (91) The dash will be the worst part for sure. There are lots of wires. Also very heavy, two person job for the dash I think... as far as putting in/removing! Only one person for the swap, other wise something will be forgotten by one person or the other...

JT- there are a couple of people selling black seats, but the leather/cloth combo (who really cares though, the seats are just as cool I think) mostly. There is a black 91 being parted out over in the the trader or classifieds section. Check that out, it would make for a much easier transition...even if you didn't want the seats you can use the dash and other parts.

After looking into it more,i`m goin to use 98% of my interior,but dye it black.I have an automotive distributor(not a chain car store)that will mix dye to be sprayed and can color match.About $20 worth will do everythnig.My stepfather did it back about 20 years ago and it still holds fine.I`ll have to read up on the dash install,i know it`s going to be rough,but everythnig else is simple.The brand new carpet is going to be sweet.
FWIW,were there ever any Gen I white SHO`s with black interior?I`ve NEVER seen anythnig but the mocha.

I saw a white '90 with a black interior at a junk yard. The interior was mostly complete(missing some dash trim)

Yes, suz's 91 is factory white with black interior. VERY nice. I actually like it better than the white/gray in my 92. However I prefer the gen2 interior/layout for everyday driving.

FWIW any SLO interior will fit in the SHO, but some of it is slightly different. I'm putting a black '90 SHO interior into the new SR71 (titanium interior 89) right now. I had to get a black SLO headliner since most SHO's have glass in the roof.

Scott Patterson has black interior in his white SHO. It is clean as heck too. I felt like I should take my shoes off and leave them outside when I got in the car =)
