Gen 4 or Gen 6 SHO?

Someone proced up the topic on TCCA, how about here?

I understand some people think 86-95 = g1, 96-07 = g2, 08-09 = g3, and 10+ = g4 for taurii all togeather

and I see how some can think its 89-91 = G1, 92-95 = G2, 96=99 = G3, then SHO stopped, so 2010 = G4, but you gotta remember, a SHO is still a Taurus, and there were still generations in between SHO's, such as G4 = 00-07, and G5 = 08-09.

So my vote goes with Gen 6 SHO.

Its Taurus SHO as well though, not just a SHO. Its confusing people saying Oh, its a 6th Gen Taurus, but 4th Gen Taurus SHO.

Better not go telling SRT people they're driving Neons...this is a comparison of green apples and red apples. They are the same, but different. You could even argue that all the V6 SHOs are of the same generation and therefore V8s are Gen II SHOs but gen III Taurii and the 2010 SHO is a Gen 3 SHO but Gen 6 Taurus

Exactly. It's a Generation 4 SHO. It doesn't make any sense to call it anything else.

It's not winning here, but IMO it's not a matter of winning.

It's a Generation 4 and will continue to be described as such here.

Lets say I have a 1996 SHO and I need brake pads. I go to the local auto zone and say I need brake pads for a 1996 Taurus. THEY WILL GIVE ME THE WRONG PART.
