SHORANGERBIRD
Restorer of SHO
126K asking $3,450.....
-ok, so the time has come to let my only ATX go. I've only owned two vehicles longer than i've owned this one. I used to pass by this one on my way to work everyday for almost 5 years. The people who owned it, traded it for a Chevy and the dealer wholesaled it to a buy here/pay here lot, where i purchased it from in 1999 w/95k miles on it. I then knew it was one I wanted to keep, so I started doing my "normal" routine to it. first I had a 60k done to it. That was before I knew how, and had a tech who was familiar with them help me. I then turned my attention to the inside and started pulling everything out so I could clean it, as the p.o. were smokers. Well, while that was going on, I came across a Dealer Magazine from 1993 that had a pic of the "new" redesigned inside for the Gen 2s and it was black. I immediatly fell in love with it. Did I mention the car had a gray int. at the time???? So I started gathering the items to convert it to black. This was not to be a daily driver, so most of the time, it sat in the garage, not being used with a cover over it. I took it to FPS and had a set of Dougs' subframe connectors put on it. I was in no hurry and did things along when I had time, but rarely drove it. As it sat in the garage beside my wifes car under cover, my oldest son was growing up, seeing it everyday and always told me, "dad, i want that car when i start driving." Well, he was actually a Jr. in high school before i turned him loose with it. He had been driving my brothers old '95 3.0 SLO up until then so, with much chagrin, I took it and had it checked over, and gave it to him. He has driven it for the last 3 years. That was until we agreed to help him get an Explorer Sport Trac, like he really wanted. Thus the SHO came back to me, and I once again, have found me "another woman", (ala Tom) an MTX. So, with that, I need to empty the driveway of one vehicle, and the ATX was voted most likely to go. Its really has been a great car and though its build has not been chronicled here like the old white one, it is in just as good of shape asthat one was when it left. So enough chatter and on to the attributes of the car........

-Neither side of the strut mount plates have ever been drilled. the car has been aligned as the tire wears shows, and handles great. ...
-Exhaust tips clean up & look very nicely.......
-the black interior is very nice. there are 6 small trim items that i never got in black, or got painted. they are the window switch bezels,(because of the words on them)front & rear, with the rear ashtrays, and the trianglar trim in the front corner of the front door panel.....
-atesting to show how clean i kept this car......
-the trough below/behind rear window.....clean
-the cowl and wiper arms are immaculate.....
