Gen 2 spoiler w/ led on a Gen 1 ?

I have a spoiler from a 93, need to know if it'll fit my new '90 before I go to the drill.

Doesn't 1991 Plus's have a Gen. 2 spoiler? If so, how come it won't fit other Gen. 1 trunks?

The Plus spoiler is differant than the 2nd gen spoiler.
