Yep, I originally put all my needles back on and realized that the temp guage dove down upon startup, and the speedo wasn't resting on the needle pin. I had to take it all apart and redo. Make sure before you put your water temp guage needle back on you turn the key one click to "power up" the car. THEN put your temp needle on "C" and reinstall. This is done best after the car has sit all night. Good luck. As far as the speedo needle, there is a mark on aftermarket guages below the zero. Make sure your stop pin is out, and reinstall the needle pointing at that. Then lift the needle and reinstall the needle stop pin. Then let the needle rest on the pin. Oh another tip. When you take the needles off, scrape off the white paint off the back using a razor blade, and take some neon orange model paint and pain JUST THE BACKS of the needles. They show up WAY better against the white face guages or whatever color you chose. Good luck...
