Hi,
1st Gen with JBL system. Rear panel shelf / speaker covers vibrates and makes fun sounds from the bass of the factory subs. They do not appear blown, just certain frequency makes the trim vibrate annoyingly. Anyone have good suggestions to stop this?

The free way
take off the cover and put a piece a paper between the cover and mount to stop the vibration

33 years later ... certainly worth doing as yaycandy suggests, maybe add some automotive grade foam in critical spots. could be a screw loose ... or rusted ... lol.

Im sure once i start driving my 90’ sho there will be all sorts of things rattling. Its the 80s 90s plastic interior cars. Sometime you gotta hit the dash. Sometimes you gotta hit the door panel. But there is always room to jam something in the joints. Like my 90’ miata, every gear is a different rattle lol. Oh the dash only rattles in 4th but then the roof latch only rattles in 5th
