You get the moldings off of an 89-91 Taurus LX. They are stainless steel and can be left as is or could be painted. It's possible that a Sable LS of the same vintage would have them also but I don't know for certain.

What moulding???

The black metal strip that runs along the lower door cladding in your sig pic.
My stainless strips have been thru 3 salty winters with no problems.

What is the best way to remove/install those strips, If you find a replacement?

Take off all the nuts around the sides and the bottom edge. Then with the help of some one holding the door stable grasp the plastic cladding (it should be very loose now) at the top near the metal strip and with one quick movement "peel" the cladding off the car. Try to do as little bending as possible to keep from damaging the metal strip. The metal strip is held on with several plastic pop in fasteners and of you don't do it fast enough you stand a chance of bending the strip.
