There has been some confusion about gen1 "M" codes. attached are "M" codes. Hope this helps.
*ref: 1991 "Ford" Taurus/Sable Electrical & Vacuum Troubleshooting Manual FPS-12123-91.
UPDATE:03-22-23 to get the pin chart and the IRCM pin numbers & wire colors to align: remove the module from the mounting bracket with the wire connector attached and turn it over bottom side up. Rotate the module 180 degrees and read the connector pin numbers and wire colors from the driver side fender. Now the connector pins and wire colors match the pin chart
The reason for this is above my pay grade lol.
