Wouldn't a HID bulb in a stock Taurus housing produce too much heat for the stock housing to handle? I've seen some quite serious light burns caused by excessive heat... Maybe we can somehow cut the lens and insert something a bit more... durable?

DemonNeno: Actually a real HID bulb uses less watts to power it, thus creating LESS heat. Just brighter.

They certanly look brighter, but I am really interested in the beam pattern. You can throw a lot a light out there, but it has to be focused in the right spots. Do you have any pictures against a wall/garage? Also what kit do you have? And do you know the temp rating (4100, 5000, 6000k)

I don't have the kit but this is a picture from a member over at the Delphi forums. The picture is quite old and seems to be the only one of a Gen I with HID's. This particular HID kit is made by Philips. I don't have anymore information or pictures.
