Gen 1/2 doors the same?

Well as the title states.. are they the same? I measured and it seems like they will fit.. Just want some of your backing to make sure i dont waste my time/money!

The gen1 & gen2 doors will bolt up in place of each other, but the wire harnesses are quite different & interior door panels attach differently as do the exterior trim pieces. wire harnesses can be swapped but actual steel modifications must be made for attachments.

Slightly, but a gen II interior will swap into a Gen I so I've heard... could just swap it all at once.

I'm guessing you would have to swap the dash too so the door panels will line up and close properly too.
