Hey I was doing my indiglo's and I wanted to take the whole cluster out so that I could oil the speedo cable, and put a drop of oil on the speedogears themselves. For the life of me I can get the whole cluster out, I know I have to disconnect the cable, but even with that it still won't come out.

Anyone done this, and can give me any tips you found helpful? I got 4.5 hours till it is dark and I don't want to mess with this in the dark.

Thanks

BTW I have read all the posts in the search...

I'm 99.95% sure I got them all, but still no luck. This is driving me nuts and it has started to get dark and colder.

netviper,

did you get the cluster out yet? i've had mine out before, and if my memory serves me, once you have removed all of the screws holding the cluster in the dash (and connecting cables), you can pull it forward about an inch and twist it a bit before it starts to interfere with the dash molding itself... all i can say is that the cluster will come out, but it isn't easy... i ended up resorting to pulling/twisting harder than i wanted to, but it came out...

good luck!
