Have you swapped out the MAP sensors yet for new units, Mike? Sorry if the Q's already been answered in this thread :)

Do you have a 91 octane tune? I would try that ( still run 93). It should have less of a demand for fuel if that is indeed your issue.

No octane boost supplement? Correct? Just ride it out til spring?

Correct.

My recommendation would be the exact same as @EcoBoostSHO's...load a lesser tune with better fuel.

That is a free solution, as opposed to buying replacement parts. I have only ever seen 2 MAP sensors go bad. Possible, but not likely.

Running V9 91 octane, still have slight sputter, nothing terrible. Yes, I blame the gas right now. Think the '13+ cars are more sensitive to gas changes than the '10-12 cars. Just a thought since I had both. Ecoboost might want to chime in too, since he had both too.

Correct. The 13 and newer cars do seem to be more sensitive to plug gap, coolant temps and octane. I guess nobody would know as well as you B lol.

Copy that, thank you....I'll try the lower octane tune until spring breaks and see where its at

I had a 2010 before this 2013 and I never had that issue with it either and drove it all year round, this car seems to be more sensitive over all compared to my 2010, I am going to load the lesser octane tune and still run this ****** 93 winter fuel until spring, I have the v9 Tunes but don't want to try til spring

Yes I agree on the model differences. The 2013 seems more sensitive to fueling issues...

I do have access to Sunoco 260 GTX, which is straight gas 98 octane, no junk in it. I may try some, just as a test. What's nice, is I can just pull up next to the tank and pump straight into the car. Hopefully be end of Jan or Feb.

Looking at this thread earlier... I seem to think my new 2010 SHO had a turbo hose blow. It was on the left side of the engine, where the coolant was, and more or less spilled most of the coolant and started running hot. It blew smoke out the left tube (when facing the engine on outside). The dealership said "It's just a hose we have to replace." I'm praying that's all it is. I didn't even get the car home!

Me too! They said they will deliver it to my job tomorrow. I can't wait for the ride home. I also have some Exterior Mods I want to do first... Plasti Dip the rims and al lot of the chrome off. I work from home on Wed., so thats when I will spray "Shoffie." The second thing to do is to tint the windows. 3rd, is the Livernois tune.

Hello blaine109,
How many days total did Ford dealer have your SHO?

I'll give everyone an update. I have driven ~2500 miles (mostly interstate) since the new knock sensor was put in.

I would say it's running right about 95%.
-Gas mileage issue is gone. I'm getting 21 or so avg in town and 27+ on the HWY as long as I stay around 75MPH.

-I do notice that the steering wheel seems to have a little more vibration in it at idle than it did before.

-I think the car feels about 35-50 HP shy of where it should be (I do also have the Airaid intake on)

-Every once and awhile it seems like power is being restricted. This usually seems to occur at hwy speeds and I step on the gas a little to pass a car. The car doesn't seem to downshift and seems to have a bogged down feeling and sound. The RPM's seem to drop down a bit as the car bites into some power and increase then gradually increases; but that seems a bit contradictory to what it should be doing. Even if it doesn't downshift and you apply the gas shouldn't RPM's increase with speed?

-I have looked down in that tight area and it looks like the connector itself may be brushing up against the engine but it's really hard to tell. I'm going to see if I can find some time to reroute that wire/connector away from the engine block to see if that gets me back up to 100%. If not I will be calling the Ford representative up on the phone to discuss this further before I start hauling it back into the dealership.

I will say, it is still nice to be able to break 300 miles before having to fill up the tank. I was having to refuel around 275 miles before....on the interstate I can go about 425-450 before having to stop for gas. In the city around 350ish miles.
