FYI!

Guys, there are/is a least 1 TSB on tranmission issues. Mine intermittently will hunt and seek another gear. The other day, I thought the car was going to die in the middle of an intersection. Went in to see my Ford tech, his father also owns a SHO, told me of the TSB, I did not get the number. Will have this done in the near future. There is also 1 out on the sensitivity of the BLISS/Cross Traffic , and rain sensing wipers. Again, future repair coming.

Yep. The Transmission Range Sensor appears to have completely resloved the problems. That sensation of the car feeling like its going to die... is the car very briefly going into "Limp Mode". Thats what mine was doing for months before they figured it out.

I like the car now, that the bugs seem to be out. That was a VERY frustrating time! If I didn't like the car as much as I do, I would never have tolerated the issues. I'm happy that I did, and just hope they are behind me.

Just when I thought it was fixed for good. Back to Limp Mode again today, while accelerating from a stop light.

I've had the same problem. First the FSE decided I needed to have the fuel pump replaced; didn't work. Next was to download new codes; nada. Tried the data recorder; couldn't download the data. Fourth time was to have the shop foreman drive my car and see if he could get it to act up and record the incident; he did and the diagnosis was to replace the transmission range sensor; but wait, the part is on back-order and won't be in for a month (May 20). Asked to speak with the zone manager about replacement or buy back.

My dealership and their service dept have gone to bat for me and I have been approved for a replacement vehicle. I like you love the car, but it is a real danger when traveling on the interstate at 60mph and being afraid that it will act up. The zone manager told me that the FSE "thinks" the problem is solved; I told him I didn't want to be a human crash test dummy so I'll take a replacement.

Ironically, the Service Mgr told me that his SHO just did the same thing, what a mess! My goal is to get a car built after March 2010, hopefully all of the bugs are worked out.
