Might as well give this a shot see what's up.

My car got a humongous tree on top of it totally ruining the rear or the car, now the fuel pump doesn't work.

People have said that a sensor that kills the pump during an accident is probably the reason why. Does anyone know where that's at? Or how I can check this?

The car isn't that badly damaged, but it's definitely too much to fix and if I can drive the car for me to sell it, then the better.

Thanks!

Thanks!

It's in the trunk. If you look on the inside side wall of the trunk on the driver's side, you'll see a small hole punched into the carpet. It's about 1/3 of the way down from the lip of the trunk. If you just start pushing the carpet, you'll feel a large lump. That's it. There's a little button on the top of that lump. Push down on it. If you feel it go down and a slight "click" as it bottoms out, that was it. If it didn't do that, then something else is wrong... but definitely check that first.

when you turn the key to ON you should be able to hear the pump prime. If you do, turn the key to OFF, then ON, then OFF, then ON again to prime the system... then start it. I hope this helps.

Also, since nobody else has said it, that should buff right out.

Ya velcome! I'm just glad it was that easy. Usually, it's not. Of course, the rear of your car is completely crushed in, so I guess karma had to kick in somewhere.
