fuel pump ground question???

i have a problem w/the SHO as always...when putting the pedal to the floor...it boggs down and goes nowhere..its not the clutch..(3K on it)..new plugs..new wires...i work at a ford dealership in a high school apprentice program and i ran NGS..i got code 542 and another one which i forgot.....a tech there and i looked up the codes and the procedure to fix them....for the fuel pump code im to start at the fuel pump and check the ground...i lost the wiring manual for the 93 SHO and i dunno where the ground is w/o rippin anythign apart..i was just curious here if anyone knows specifically where the ground from the fuel pump goes to?? any help on this would be greatly appreciated...

You need a new fuel pump. Plain and simple.

how so i hooked up a fuel gauge tester to the schraeder valve on the fuel rail...taped the gauge to my hood..and no matter what it stayed constant even when i got on it..the fuel pressure was right where it should be..well w/in factory specs.

Then your fuel delivery system, including the pump, is probably not the reason for the problem you experienced. Ignore the 542 which is advice you would have gotten had you plugged "542" into the SEARCH engine.
