Can an in-line check valve be installed in my fuel line instead of replacing the fuel pump? As I understand it, the standard check valve is part of the fuel pump assembly and cannot be replaced separately. Many in-line check valves are available from performance distributors. My pump works fine, I just have to crank the motor 5-10 times before it starts, indicating to me I'm loosing fuel pressure during down time. I have a strong running 95 ATX with 125,000 miles and this is the only annoying problem. Any help would be appreciated!!!
