I have checked the forum and have been unable to find an anwer to my problem so far I am even more confused.

I have a line hanging down right behind my passenger side rear tire of my 93 ATX. When the fuel tank is full it tends to leak fuel, so I haven't been filling my tank completely. I figured it was supposed to be a vent hose of some sorts, but after researching it sounds like there isn't supposed to be a vent tube back there.

So my question is, where the **** is this line supposed to go and what is it's purpose???

Is the line rubber, or a hard black plastic? What is the approximate outer diameter of the "tube"?

Oh, and have you recently "bottomed-out" the car?

I feel real stupid now, I'm sorry I even asked this question guys. I thought the line came right off the filler neck itself. It turns out that it comes off the plastic piece before the filler neck in case you spill at the gas pump or for when it rains. My filler neck was cracked where the fuel cap is and the fuel would slosh up the filler neck and out the crack.

Fixed it with a new filler neck and cut the overflow tube in half cuz I'm sick of lookin at it hang down. Thanks
