Hey folks... I've seen lots of stuff regarding performance programming n such... but I was wondering if anyone has ever played with fuel economy? I recently watched a video where a fella tuned his LS3 vette to get 40 mpg on the highway while not only maintaining but improving overall HP and torque. So I was thinking of a long trip highway tune and wondering what kind of mileage might be possible without running her too lean. Thanks.

yes sir definitely doable, especially with variable cam timing. We can get 30 mpg highway with the SHO if you drive properly while still getting 400+ hp with basic modifications.

Who the **** buys a performance vehicle and tunes it to drive it properly? Blasphemy!
You can almost force Atkinson cycle on the transverse engine via cam timing, but it doesn't do it as well as the longitudinal where you have exhaust cam phasers as well.... Most performance files will get better mileage on premium, but those of us that have changed cam timing at part throttle pick up a little more over that. Www.ghtuning.com
