I recently aquired a 95 ATX. I previously owned a 93 MTX. I am fairly knowledgeable when it comes to SHOs (owned and worked on them for about 6 years). Recently I had a CEL light come on code 172. I changed both 02 sensors thinking that was the problem. Still the light is on. Well the light will come on and turn off and sometimes stay on for a couple minutes and shut off. If I do WOT it seems to come on more rapidly. Car runs kinda rough when at idle. One time it randomly stalled while parked. I was thinking it might be a spark plug so I replaced all plugs with double plats, delco wires and did a valve adjustment.
I still get the same code now. Could another sensor cause this lean code? I always thought this code was a no brainer 02 sensor fix.
