front wheel bearings

well the drivers side wheel bearing suckes on this 96. it roars going down the road, drives fine but im sure its hurthing gasmilage. its not really hurting anything but id like to replace it before it does and the sound annoys me alot. how big of a PITA is it to replace the front wheel bearings?

I heard it is much easier on the gen 3's then the gen1/gen2 because the gen 3 you dont press the bearing in the hub

You need the large pitman arm puller to pop the ball joint out of the control arm, the small pitman arm puller to pop the tie rod end loose (both at AZ for rent). Then pop the axle nut off, loosen the strut and pond the knuckle down.

Next you can either pull the knuckle off the axle or as I do pull the axle and knuckle off as one, then pound the axle out of the knuckle in a vise. Once the axle and knuckle are separated the wheel bearing comes out when the three retaining bolts are removed.
