Front Wheel Bearing

Since I have access to pullers and presses of all different sizes I figured I might be able to save some change and just replace the bearings on my front hub assy's. I looked everywhere but I could not fing a part number for just the bearing. The whole assembly looks like it is going to cost about 60 bucks so I was thinking I might be able to get the bearings for less and do the work myself. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

The bearing and hub are one unit, and not individually replaceable. The hub is bolted in on the Gen 3, not pressed in.

I know the hub is bolted onto the knuckle but I thought the bearing was pressed onto the hub. Oh well, there goes another 100 dollar bill.

I recently did the same job to my SHO a couple weeks ago. Your best off if you do both sides cause if one's shot the other one is probally not too far off. While your down there you might as well replace your ball joints.

I am replacing both, also both ball joints, tie rods, end links, all bushings, struts, strutmounts and anything else that looks like it needs to be replaced while i'm under there.

Good luck with that job sounds like fun :woohoo: I know from experience.
While you're there it might be a good idea to replace your axle seals too.
