Looking to replace the speakers in my 95 - are there any tips/tools that make removing the speakers easier? I'm assuming the front door panels are held in by friction fit posts, but I'm not 100% sure.

1. Make sure you have removed ALL the screws.
2. MAKE SURE YOU HAVE REMOVED ALL THE SCREWS.
3. Use care in removing the panels, especially if you do not possess a plastic panel puller.
4. Don't forget the sail panel next to the mirror.
5. Go buy a few packages of black friction fit posts. Two should be enough. Three is plenty.
6. Grab a set of Ford speaker harnesses.

Hope this helps!

Yes! Head on over to your local Best Buy or Circuit City for two sets of speaker harnesses. By no means should you cut that stock harness off.

Thanks! I already have picked up the "Amp eliminator kit" which has the head unit harness and a two-headed adapter to bypass the factory amp.

Mainly so it'll be easy to take the head unit out and replace it with the factory one if the car is sold.

When your take the door panel off, if any of theplastic retaining the friction posts does break, you can glue it back in place with JB Weld. I did this, and it has held together for a year and a half .
