just to let you guys know, anyone that has a front motor mount that is broken.
the job is easy. probably one of the easyest ones i've done on the sho sofar. i bought a used one for $15 welded suports on it )now it's solid> and swapped it out in about 20 min. now it's much better in the upshifts and takeing off. more traction and not that much more vibration. I deff. recamend going ahead and doing this job yourself if you need it done. thumbs_u thumbs_u

Thanks for the info, I have been contemplating doing mine, but I wouldnt want to get 1/2 way into it, and be stuck not having any idea what to do! How long does it take, and also how do I ensure that is the mount that is bad? The front left of my plennum is showing some wear marks, as well as the small piece that sticks up off the throttle body.. Thanks for the info, I may end up doing this one myself! Is it equivelant to doing an alternator in our SHO's, time wise, or no? Whats involved in doing it?
Thanks!
Kevin

I had those same wear marks. I ended up changing the front AND rear motor mounts, and finally the tranny mount, which was nearly torn in half.

i'm fast because i work on this thing almost constantly (never satisfied) it may take someone less familiar with the engine a little longer. go check the how-to on shotimes.com. it is very usefull. all you need is some jack stands, a good floor jack, and a peice of plywood. did mine in the driveway.
oh, and shotimes.com also has a how-to on how to check if the mounts are bad.
