Now I'm looking around for some stuff for the sho, I got some 60K work to do.
I put it off too long.
The tach went to zero and it stalls at idle.
The throttle response is really bad, it has a huge flat spot.
The stickey thread I read said, the waterpump leaks on the Crank position sensor rendering it shorted ,Tach with no signal.
Got to drive it today to work at 15* with no heat.:nut:
So I got a water pump and timing belt and a crank sensor ordered.
What'ed I forget?

Well do you just want to get the bare minimal, or do you want to do a complete front 60K. I'd also get the waterpump gasket, and while I have shit tore apart I'd get the cam position sensor, and cams seals and a couple of other things....

I was lazy and got parts from my work @ Ford L/M .
Eouch!

I wanted the car back on the road asap, so I'm not complaining.
I got the pump , sensor, timing belt and crank seal.

I messed up the tone ring that screws to the back of the lower timing pulley.
Thanks to whiteguy3 for offering to sell/send me a replacement.
I hate when I have to wait a week to complete the repair.
It's almost like starting over with all the stuff.
The Ford waterpump came with the front and back of the housing.
All I had to do was clean up the mating surfaces of the inlet/outlet tube.
I found this out after sandblasting the old parts.

Yo PM me back...! lol

I would also change the TPS. That would be my first guess with a dead spot on throttle response. Usually if your waterpump goes and leaks all over you lose your CPS. Now my waterpump went about 2 months ago and I just put in another and my CPS was fine, but that was a rare case. But for the front 60K, it's not all that hard it's just tedious!
