if you can replicate the sound in P at idle while moving the steering wheel lock to lock, it is most likely the strut mounts.

oem springs generally wont cause this issue, but yes, h&r's have been known to be a bit picky in this regard, tho usually they will click not pop when not fully seated.

it cost me 0.8 hours labor at an indie to do the swaybar end links for our 2007 edge at an indie.

Recalls, TSBs, SSMs and Investigations

many of the attached files were lost during a forum software change but will be re-added over time
I was able to open the attachment you shared. Well, that's not the one I was thinking of since it's for the PTU rather than the addition of a thrust washer to the half shaft at the hub end. I'll have to dig around a bit.

I don't know if the TSB (different from a recall) would specifically spike out "EcoBoost" or not. But back when I had my 2013 MKS EcoBoost and an Alldata subscription Alldata did list TSB 13-05-14 as applicable to my EcoBoost. Although I don't know what goes into Alldata determining whether or not a TSB applies since no VIN range is listed. I did order the thrust washers and installed them on my car and they fit fine. They didn't fix the noise, but they didn't make anything worse either. I now suspect the noise was actually the failing PTU.
