Front Core Support Removal Help

Has anybody replaced the front core support on the SHO? My service manual does not show the procedure for obvious reasons.

I am hoping somebody has diagrams on how it all goes together.

It appears to be 2 pieces spot welded together. I want to be able to save time and cut sections out on the damaged car and drill out less spot welds on the replacement panel.

Any help would be appreciated.

sorry, but you just have to identify the spot welds and drill them out.

Remove the bumper impact absorbers from the chassis, drill the spot welds at the left and right frame rails, remove, and replace.

The entire core support can be had new for a song. For instance:

I have a complete parts car, but buying a new one might save a ton of work.

When you drill out the spot welds use a spotweld cutter. It will save you a bunch of agony when you weld the new support back on.
