The 99-04 Mustang V6 & GT dual-piston calipers are pretty much a bolt-on, and can be had cheap ... just in case you weren't aware of that. And brake pad selection (if you want to get performance pads) will be much better for a Mustang caliper than for a 99-03 Windstar I'm thinking! ;)

One thing of note if you're going to use Mustang GT calipers, is that you have to reverse them. That is, right on left, and left on right. This is to ensure that the bleeder screws are facing up, so that they may be bled properly. Fail to do this, and you will never successfully bleed the calipers.

There's at least one person here who can attest to that. :)

02 V6 stangs have 11" rotors, NAPA lists the 02 Windstar as 11.08 x 1.03.
even if you could fit an 11.5" rotor under those calipers, the bracket would still locate the pads at the 11" position.

My cobra's bleeders face down......took awhile to bleed, but no issues since.

Also notice, the above statement about wrong sides is only possible with the calipers.....my brackets would grind the rotor if put on the wrong side.

I guess if you use a Motive pressure bleeder, it might be OK. But, I still tap the caliper with a hammer when I use the Motive. It still will occasionally knock loose a coupla bubbles.

If it's as easy as just changing sides, just Do It and save any possible grief, especially for a car that sees the track.

Not a motive, but one I borrowed......I cheated though, I did have the calipers swung upward for bleeding......then locked em back down.
