Of course it was good. Not a real big turn out, 13 people at Bronners, 11 at the Bavarian Inn Restaurant. 3 SHOs, my Ranger, Jims GTP, Ron Porter's Subaru, and a red Pontiac Solstice(I think). Oh man, I forgot his name,,my bad. Weather was great for driving, food was also great. Chris took pics, hope to see them posted soon.

Back in Michigan ... again.

How did it go? Did I miss out on a good time?

Yup :frown:

Couldn't have asked for better weather for Feb in Michigan. Sadly our original number of 18 for dinner fell all the way to 10. Aside from the cancellations, MIA were SHOteen and Eksphatrob... what happened guys?

Fortunately the missing people weren't a big deal at the Bavarian Inn, and since SHObill thought ahead and printed up 1/2 off coupons for everyone dinner was actually really reasonable. All you can eat chicken dinner with stuffing, potatoes, gravy, corn, cole slaw, cranberries, ham & cheese pasta salad, applesauce and ice cream for dessert... for Michelle and I it was $33.00 including my Guiness and her tea. For the amount of food & the atmosphere that was not bad at all.

This was my first main Tri-State event as President; and hey I understand that things come up and people's plans sometimes have to change. However, I was pretty disappointed that, of the original list, barely 1/2 (10) managed to show up for dinner. I'll mention this for future events (and I'm presently working on that even as I type and will be posting about it very soon); if we're going to do things as a club this year I'm going to need the support of the members to make things happen. Not coming down on anyone here; as I said, things happen, plans change and I certainly understand that. This is just an FYI for the future because we'll undoubtedly run into situations where no shows could affect those who do make it, and when those situations arise, I'll ask members to make Tri-State SHO/SVT more of a priority :thumb:

Ok... highlights:

1. The quickest car at this meet was a wagon. How sad is that?? :thumb:

2. I give Jim's tranny in his GTP another month before we see a SHOboom

3. The auto detail guru (me) had the dirtiest car in attendance, without question. Should've hit a quick wash!

4. The other patrons at Bronner's Christmas world were seeing red. As in 5 of the 7 cars in attendance were red!

5. It's rumored that SHObill and NeedanSHO are secretly seeing one another. There were unconfirmed sightings of them entering the bathroom together at Bronner's and then they came out of the closet at dinner when NeedanSHO actually bought SHObill's dinner. And the final nail in the coffin? They were sitting at opposite ends of the table... a sure sign that something fishy is going on here. Truth be told, I think Alex saw Bill's uber schweet 90 and decided to ****** him with the hopes of getting the car in the divorce.

Long story short, it was a fun time. I have pics that I'll post up ASAP, and I know others took some pics as well. Thanks to those who made the trip!

The next meet location is in discussion. Thoughts at this point are a west MI meet or an Ohio meet. Keep an eye out for a new thread in the coming days.

I didn't go into the bathroom with SHObill, and at dinner I only had a debit card, and the waitress put our check together so the coupon would work, and that last part about seducing him because of the '90. Totally true, you got me on that one. :naughty: :laugh_ti:

You crack me up.

And lastly, nothing says POWER like a 20 ft. e-brake burnout from a GTP. Jeez Jim, I **** longer strips than that (especially tonight after all the corn from dinner ) :nut:

Sorry, i couldn't make it up there guys. Looked like a blast. I didnt even get home from work till 10am, fell asleep watching the news, only to wake up at 6, and have to go back to work anyways :frown: And if there's one thing we learned from summerbash, having an extremely tired Matt wondering around in his work clothes like a confused puppy does not lead to very good work performance later in the night.

The probe is sorry it couldn't make it too, would have given that subie wagon a run for it's money (so long as it wasn't from a dig). 270+whp, front wheel drive, probe gearing and winter tires =

Is anyone back yet? I just got back in the house after working on the car all day. Nothing new to report on my end. The gosh darn thing STILL pulls and I took everything apart and relubed and greased....all that good stuff. So, I am going to take it to work with me and see if the alignment is out again. The shop i took the car to to get tires and an alignment wasnt a good place to take it....although I was told this after the third time I had to get the car aligned. Oh man I think this place messed the car up.

You replaced the front calipers right?

No I didnt replace the calipers. The calipers are fine. I spent time and tore into everything and cleaned and re-greased everything. The car still pulls when driving and I finally came to the conclusion that most likely the alignment is messed up again.

See, when I bought tires for the car, I had to take the car back three times for the same reason. The only difference was it did it right after each alignment. I dont know if the guy doing the alignments that day was on crack or what but now its doing the same thing and I am NOT taking it back to the same place to have it done. I am just going to bring it into work with me one day and have it re-aligned here. I will NEVER go to this place again for anything.

Yeah, could be an interesting run from a roll. Unless you can get 1.8xx 60' times you don't have a prayer from a dig!!

Of course it was fun... I try not to miss too many Tri-State meets. I hope Beth gets well soon as I haven't seen or heard from her in awhile. Hey! I had to do the burnout... comparing any car I own to a Honda just makes the blood boil and my masculinity was in question so the burnout just had to be done to prove that I really am a big boy. I followed Alex back down (58 I think it was) and he tried to lose me a couple times so when he pulled over for gas I was forced to do a whiny flyby as well. Food was great... we all owe Bill for saving some much needed cash that's better spent on modding GTP's then on food. I can't wait until it gets warmer and I have a SHO put back together for SHO meets... I'm trying to organize something in Toledo and maybe something in Norwalk this year. I also need to think of something in southern Ohio as I haven't seen any of those boys since the Cincy meet last spring. Anyways it was cool seeing everyone again. Chris, just for the record when I blow the trans in the GTP it will not be a "SHOBoom" but rather a "GTPoof". (don't be confused by the crazy lower case "f" that looks like an "s" with a line through it.

I'm sorry I coudln't make it also, but I figured I woudln't be able to (damn low paying job with high bills....) Hopefully I will be able to make a meet or two, as long as I got the dough and a good running vehicle...(I really don't trust my dodge caravan to drive me back and forth to work, let alone 3 hours away, lol.)
