I'll see what I can do, if I can get ahold of a muzzleloader, I'll probably either be working or hunting. But if not I'll be open.

Back in Michigan ... again.
Ok folks, getting down to crunch time. I will need commitments from folks by this Sunday, that will be just about 2 weeks prior to dinner.

So far I have:

Huntervf +1
SHO2NV + 1 and possibly kids
91 plus + 1
Cougarman + 1
Silverknight
SHOracer
Kzoosho TENTATIVE
Needapartscar TENTATIVE

Also, for those with kids, Bavarian Inn will have Santa Claus on site for dinner on the 15th, and you can purchase a special Christmas stocking that Santa will deliver personally. Prices range from $7.95 for ages 3 & under, 12.95 For 4-5, 18.95 for 6-12 an 16.95 for 12 and older. Items in the stockings range from little toys, various little foods, etc. If anyone is interested just let me know and I'll send you complete details.

As I said before, I won't have Ford nick nacks like I had last year (my last day at Ford Racing was actually yesterdy) but I WILL be showing up in a never-before-seen "sleigh" (and it won't be a Metro either)... so if anything it'll be worth showing up just to see what I'll be driving

Aside from the tentatives, if you're on the list above I'm considering you confirmed. If there are any changes, please post up by Sunday night. Same for the tentatives and anyone else still on the fence; I'll need a go-no-go by then as well so Bavarian Inn can make the necessary adjustments (they book up EARLY).

As for the day, let's plan to meet at Bronners once again, northwest lot same as last time. 3pm will be the official "deadline", showing up early is fine (and encouraged if you've never been to Bronners Christmas world), and we'll then head over to Bavarian Inn at 3:15 SHARP.

Aside from all that, I recommend arriving early so you can spend some time at Bronners as well as downtown Frankenmuth; it's one of the few towns that is as busy in the winter as it summer and they have all kinds of neat little shops to visit.

Any questions or comments? :thumb:

We're for sure in, kids and all.

I will be bringing back the coveted "Long Distance Prize" that I won last year.

I will also bring along a white GLSS decal that I will give to the first person to correctly identify what I bought as a replacement for the SHO. You have to be the first one to tell me in person at the meet what it is. And all you'll have to go by is this picture:

I think I let all of my other SHO related stuff go with the car but I'll see if I can dig anything else up. :thumb:

Confirmed, I am in for sure. What time is everyone going to be getting there?

And does anyone need suspension for their SHO? I have Intrax and KYB brand new in boxes. I will sell for a discounted Christmas price.

Chris, sorry I didn't get back with you but yes, put me down for four.

The only way we won't be there is if the weather is too crappy.

i cannot tell you.. but its easy from that picture.

and.. where exactly are we meeting and what time? cause my sis and her fiance are driving me there, cause were going to the outlet mall and bronners. and they dont wanna do the dinner thing, but i couldnt pass up a free ride. so they were willing to drop me off at the bavarian inn and pick me up later. unless we just meet at bronners and i grab a ride from someone in thier car to the restaurant.

Just wanting to make sure this thing is still a go. Looks like snow, but not as much as what they're calling for here while we're gone, 8-12" :oogle:

We'll be heading out in the morning, checking in at the hotel, and then spending the rest of the time in Bronners until it's time for everyone to show up. So I guess to whoever shows up, I'll see ya tomorrow. :thumb:

Well I had a big message typed out but I guess it took too long and IE 7 sucks ass so....

Definitely still on! Dinner is at 3:30, the official "pre dinner" is at 3pm in the north lot at Bronners. The north lot is easy to find, from hwy 83 just south of Frankenmuth you'll turn into the main Bronners entrance, then take the first available left. Hopefully there will still be space up there... there was last year.

Weather for the Detroit area is a winter storm watch, with light snow starting late tomorrow afternoon and continuing through Sunday, getting heavier overnight with 4-8 inches total. The watch pretty much covers the entire I-94 corridor from lake to lake, however get north of the I-96 corridor and the watch goes away; Frankenmuth is looking for 1-3 inches of snow through Sunday. So basically the drive out should be ok, but the drive home may be interesting for those going back to the south.

I'll have a few "door prizes" to hand out; nothing like last year but I do have a few items that I'm happy to offer up. If anyone else would like to bring something feel free, but I want to stress that it's NOT REQUIRED and nobody will be shunned for coming empty. It's the holidays and I just want everyone to have a good time with good friends.

My cell is 810-931-5587. I have no idea when I'll be to Bronners, except to say that I'll be there by 3pm for sure.

Lastly, I would request that if anyone needs to cancel, please post up here. I've had a few people asking if there's extra room at dinner, and right now I can only say it's a crapshoot. Reservations for 14 have been made, beyond that if Bavarian Inn has extra room then extras can be accomodated, but there will be no way to know until we get there.

Otherwise, see everyone tomorrow!

I wish we could be there! but I cannot turn down some OT tomorrow as next week is the last week I can work this year. They shut down for some holiday I do not get paid for! But I just got asked to work on a new Maserati program so things are looking better for next year! Hope you all have a safe & fun outing & eat some of that fab chicken for me. & while I'm here-- to all, a safe & happy holiday! & remember whats important- Live simply. Love generously. Care deeply. HOT CHOCOLATE
A group of graduates, well established in their careers, were talking
at a reunion and decided to go visit their old university professor, now
retired.

During their visit, the conversation turned to complaints about stress
in their work and lives. Offering his guests hot chocolate, the
professor went into the kitchen and returned with a large *** of hot
chocolate and an assortment of cups - porcelain, glass, crystal, some
plain looking, some expensive, some exquisite -telling them to help
themselves to the hot chocolate.

When they all had a cup of hot chocolate in hand, the professor said:
"Notice that all the nice looking, expensive cups were taken, leaving
behind the plain and cheap ones. While it is normal for you to want
only the best for yourselves, that is the source of your problems and
stress. The cup that you're drinking from adds nothing to the quality of
the hot chocolate. In most cases it is just more expensive and in some
cases even hides what we drink. What all of you really wanted was hot
chocolate, not the cup; but you consciously went for the best cups and
then you began eyeing each other's cups.

Now consider this: Life is the hot chocolate; your job, money and
position in society are the cups. They are just tools to hold and
contain life. The cup you have does not define, nor change the quality
of life you have. Sometimes, by concentrating only on the cup, we fail
to enjoy the hot chocolate God has provided us.

God makes the hot chocolate - man chooses the cups.

The happiest people don't have the best of everything. They just make
the best of everything that they have. Live simply. Love generously.
Care deeply. Speak kindly.

And enjoy your hot chocolate
