Back in Michigan ... again.
I've had a few requests for this, and since it looks as though I'll be here for the holidays I'd be happy to set up another Frankenmuth Christmas dinner for the GLSS folks. I may not be running the club these days, but I'd still be happy to organize another big Christmas shindig at the Christmas capitol, Bronner's Christmas World ( http://www.bronners.com ) followed by dinner at the Bavarian Inn ( http://www.bavarianinn.com ).

Sadly, I won't be able to get more gifts like I had last year, but perhaps in the Christmas spirit we could do a "bring a gift to pass" type thing where everybody brings something to give.

Looking at the Calendar, I'll suggest Saturday Dec. 15th. Any interest?

Man...if the wife wasnt due on Christmas day I would LOVE to go there!!!! I have heard nothing but good things about that place. I know you said the 15th but what man in their right mind would leave a wife behind that close to the due date.:nut:

I'm making the phone call today to check dates and times, so anyone else interested in going please speak up right away.

Also, for those who've already responded, please confirm with me ASAP. I'll need to make reservations for this and they do require a deposit up front. I'm fine paying the deposit, but that means if you say you're going, I really need you to commit :)

Saturday Dec. 15th, I'll try to set dinner for 4pm, provided they have space. That time may get bumped back later if they're booked (last year was VERY busy), but it won't be any earlier.

For those who've never been to Frankenmuth, if you're able I suggest making a day of it. Downtown has all kinds of neat little shops (and unlike most northern tourist towns, this one is BUSTLING in the winter), and of course there's Bronner's Christmas World, the largest Christmas store in the world.

Dinner prices are generally $15-$20 per person, including drink and dessert.

Please post your intentions ASAP. Thanks!
