Remember the sho stalled out at the wrong time and then would not start sometimes? CPS etc. Everyone thought? It may be a totally different problem. When the sho starts normally you hear like a electronic turning on. When she will not start no noise. Now today after washing waxing my baby. I pulled it back down to the house. I heard the strangest noise coming from the left side of the engine. They only way to explain it like 2 wires were cut and making a contact sound. Like when we were kids doing kid things. That sound. I could not pinpoint it. I had my daughter listen to see if she could pinpoint it, with me as a friend revved the engine then let it lowwer. No one could pinpoint it. I had the master airflow sensor replaced back in April. It was near this area but not exactly. Got any ideas? Could use some here.

When you turn the ignition key to the ON position, you should be able to hear the fuel pump located in the fuel tank under the rear seat "whir" for about 2 seconds. If you don't hear this noise, then either the fuel pump or the integrated realy control module (ICRM) located under the plastic panel above the radiator is not working properly.

Is the fuel pump whir the "electronic" noise you were referring to or was it more of a relay click? The contact sound from two wires beng cut would be the sound of a spark and possibly short circuit. You really need to locate the source of that sound.

Hve you checked the EEC codes? It is no more difficult than plugging a wire between two terminals on the EEC TEST connectors, located on the passenger side of the firewall, and turnign the ignition key ON. Read about the simple procedure and the resulting codes at the sites below.

yes the sound is the whir for 2 seconds from the fuel pump. When you do not hear that she will not start. But that short of wires has me concerned. This just started. I will try harder to pinpoint it. I will be calling a friend to see if they can. I have been trying to restore this sho. I got it in Sept 2001 and have been fixing it ever since. The person before me was not to nice to it at times. I am babying it and doing everything I can for it. But everytime I turn around something else pops up with it. When I have planned to do other work on it.

My guess is corrosion in the wiring harness, at a connector, or maybe in a splice. Pull on wires going into splices, you may find one of them pull right out due to corroded wires. Splices look like little black blobs, about 1" long.
