some people are asking higher amounts recently so the values are changing. What's the asking price? I'm cheap so couple 3 grand for really good shape for me. They are going for more here and there.

Depends on condition and miles, manual or automatic tranny, and if you want a project or a well maintained car.

Denver cl currently has a red 95 atx supposedly only 60k miles for $3500.

I recently looked at a red 95 atx with low miles but it had a few issues, including no 4th gear, so I thought $2500 was too much. I ended up picking up a 08 MKZ for $2000.

What they are worth is what a willing seller and a willing buyer agree on. Since they are 20+ years old now, that number is not real high. Almost any running, driving car is worth $1500+, so it should be north of that, but unless the miles are exceedingly low, it likely won't be more than $4k, and I would not spend $4k on one since there are lots of other newer choices by the time you get to that price.

Is the car licensed and "on the road", or is it being brought back from the dead after sitting for awhile. Bringing them back from the dead is always difficult and expensive.

The rust free body is a nice feature, but in that district, they will all be rust free.

If it is a standard, it probably will need a clutch change which will be about 1K if farmed out, and if automatic, it will be close to 3K to do the soft rebuild. I would get a history on that. 93 is the first year for the automatic and it had some issues, but not enough to immediately disqualify it.

Sounds a little high in price, unless there is evidence of major renewals lately.

Get the price way down, remember scrap value with the cats and everything is only about $300.00.

Don't let me discourage you, it is easy to get excited about these cars. Just research all available options. Repairs are expensive on these things, so it is a goal to buy one that doesn't need any.

Good luck.

Take a look at the car Gen 3 SHO FAN posted in another thread under this topic

https://www.carfax.com/vehicle/1FALP54Y5SA229119

Is the car's interior clean as the one in Texas? They are asking 4000 for that manual (MTX) car. Is the car you are looking at a manual or automatic transmission(ATX)? Rubydist posted there is a 95 ATX with 60K on it for 3500 in Denver.

When they did the water pump, did they do the full front 60K (water pump, timing belt, crank position sensor, crank seals, cam seals, cam position sensor, etc.) Try and find out how well the car has been maintained and if there are records/receipts and who did the work.

Sorry, yes cam chain tensioners. It's an automatic, lowering to 2500. Said its been sitting 3 years. Clean interior, electric seats, moonroof, getting curious on the expensive repairs comment.

Might be worth checking out the low mile ATX in Denver, I recall one that sold about 2.5 years ago there that was that color and 43 K miles, of the same car it might be legit. Good to hear that well maintained clean examples above 100 K miles are worth something.
