had my car up on a lift at the volvo dealer where a freind works and was tellin him about all the front end noise so he started looking around and found that my front sway bar has a ton of play where it bolts to the endlinks. Seems like the bolt hole in the sway bar is wallered out. Tried tightening the bolts up and they were tight. Anyone else ever ran into this problem?

if the bolts are tight then there cant be a ton of play in the bolt or the hole.the play is probably in the ball joint of the sway bar link.get new links.

Try where your strut rods attach to the subframe. That area is notorious for the sho subframe clunk.

Grab the endlink with your hand, and try to wiggle it around, if it's loose it's bad. That is most likely the source of the clunking, my atx had this same problem. Course my atx had a broken subframe too on both sides, so it's possible you have more then one issue:rofl:
