I have been looking for quite a while for a wheel that would look nice on my SHO. I was at the body shop picking up my car the other day (rookie at my fire station tried to back over the SHO with a 45,000 pound fire truck:oogle: , minimal damage to front end:nut: ) and I seen a Volvo V70R wagon in the lot with some very nice wheels on it. I did some research and they are called the Volvo Pegasus. They were a graphite/gunmetal color and very sharp looking. The wheels are 17" x 8" with a 46mm offset and a 5x108 bolt pattern.

I'm fairly confident the wheels will work but I wanted to run the size and offset by everyone here for opinions on fittment. Here is a pic (only one I could find) of the wheels. I think they will look nice on the SHO with lowering springs. The only bad part is the "R" but I could get past that.

I've also been looking at these wheels for awhile. :naughty: You can find them in 17 and 18 inch versions, in silver and gunmetal on ebay. I always thought they would look very sharp on a Gen 2. I just think they would flow better with the lines of the Gen 2, but then again, you never know until you actually get them on there. :thumb: But you're right, other than that "R" on them, they are sweet looking wheels. :dribble:

I want those wheels as well, but they're very very expensive. If you don't want the "R", look for a set of T5R wheels, same design in 17" and in gunmetal, but without the "R".

I agree with Mark just above. You need to exercise some caution here. 46mm is a lot of offset for these wheel well configurations. I strongly suspect you are going to get touching, and maybe a lot of it, at that distance. As Mark notes, 38mm-42mm is the normally suggested offset.

In a Saab forum I read that they are available in a 38mm offset. A friend of mine works at a Volvo dealership. He said one of the service techs has two 18" pegasus wheels & I'm going to check with them if they fit.

Anyone else know if this wheel might fit our cars?

Im sure that theres a way to fill out that "R" as well. Im assuming the rims are aluminum and theres probably some sort of process that used electrically charged metal particles and can fill the logo and be painted over. theres a name for that but i cant think of it nor do I know if it works with aluminum.
