My brother and I went to a local Junk yard looking for a radiator fan for his 93 sho, and guess what we spotted.............2 89 Sho's. Somebody took the intake off of the engine, but the rest is there. My brother asked how much for the tranny, and the guy said he was pretty sure it was an auto transmission............we told him it was for sure a MTX, but he insisted that it was an auto.........until he looked it up on his greasy clipboard. Anyway, they said $200 if we take the tranny out by ourselves or $300 for them to take it out. I think it would be a nice spare to have around.
I also took the almost brand new plug wires, and a speedo cable since mine is about to go. Let me know if you need any parts, and maybe I can go pull them and send them to you!
