Also, Would extreme inside wear, caused in the last week (decent tread to bald), be caused from worn suspension?

The struts on my 99 are pretty well shot. In pricing replacements, I noticed that the SARC struts are actually less expensive at some places. If I want to improve the handling without changing wheels and tires, if I install the SARC struts in a 99, will the struts be full firm all the time? How is the ride with the struts on full firm? My 88 Mustang has Eibach's and Tokicos and is pretty firm, would it be any firmer that the Stang?
