i installed an antenna booster on my factory radio and in the process of looking for a fuse to piggyback on i removed the alarm fuse. when i pushed the fuse back in my alarm started going off which i disarmed by hitting the entry button on my key fob. i ended up putting the wire on the radio fuse so it would be switched. now everytime i start the car everything is fine at first but by the time i put it in drive the alarms sounds off 3 short blasts and the doors lock and unlock at the same time. this car was a california car and somebody installed a dealer installed alarm with an alarm horn under the hood and it has a motion detector that goes off if somebody lifts the door handle. i have to lock it after i put on the car cover or that will make it go off. the other day a low flying military helicopter made the alarm go off! the alarm will go off when you install another battery. i know it is a ford alarm because the key fob is marked ford. maybe it is one of those dealer installed upgrades for a taurus without an alarm? i am wondering if it is detecting an abnormal current draw from the antenna booster. i tried unhooking the battery and pressing the brake pedal for 30 seconds and i still get the alarm cycling about 30 seconds after i start it up. i am thinking about getting one of those ad-on fuse kits that they sell at autozone to see if that might help. any replies appreciated.TIA
