When adjustments are made to your transmission, do you change the tranny fluid more often then as Ford recommends?

Depends on what your routine is for changes. I change transmission fluid and filter every 30K regardless of recommended changes. I really believe that a $150.00 fluid and filter change is pretty cheap way to keep the trans in good shape. Also if there is anything wrong, changing the fluid can give you an early warning...(color, smell, foreign objects in the fluid) that all isn't right, and can help avoid costly repairs or break downs. BTW, just as a point of reference, had a 98 Taurus wagon that the transmission died shortly after purchase and it was $1900.00 to replace it with a rebuilt trans. I would bet that to replace a trans in the SHO could run 3 grand plus.

I agree with mjhpadi, however, when I swap out torque converters I'll be changing fluid and probably going with Mobil 1. The cost of replacing the trans will definately be over 3000!
