I am having a heck of a time drilling holes to mount the brackets for the fogs. I have broke 3 bits.
I am TRYING to drill in steel right now (right behing the slits in the front bumper)
Would it be possible to drill in the foam (or whatever that thing is) that is between the steel and the bumper?
Where did you drill, gluemaker?

First start with a smaller bit, then go up in size until you have a big enough hole. It took me about 30 min a hole, damn Ford toughness

Once you get the fogs on, it is well worth it!

btw, what fogs are you using? And what did you wire them up to?

I'll see if I can get some pics up of where the holes are.....

thanks!
I believe they are the same as yours.
Wiring them is STAGE TWO of project Log Fight. :D

Oh yeah, how did you know you had them angled right (side to side) because once the hole are drilled, thats it, right?

Did you take the bumper cover off to do that? If not how are you getting to the steel? I have a set of driving lights and a set of fog lights sitting in my garage that I have yet to put in.

Unscrew the bottom piece of plastic from the rest of the bumper. Look under your bumper and you'll see what I mean.

I hooked it up through a relay, and ran it to the parking lamp fuse in the power distribution box near the battery.
As soon as I reconnected the battery cables, the foglights came on (w/out the key on and w/out the parking/driving lights on)
Did I hook it up wrong, or can I NOT use the fuse in the PDB?

 Aw, that’s BS. I just went and tested the PDB, and it turns out that the fuse is always hot. So, no you didn’t do anything wrong, bad info on my part. Looks like you will have to go tap into the ambers. The easiest way to get to them is to take out the headlight first. When you tap into those wires, make sure you use the parking lamp wire, not the blinkers.

Sorry again for telling you to do something that I didn't try myself. At least I got the relay part right, I almost made a few fires on that one

ok thanks.
I got to the back of the parking lamp. I disconected the wire harness. There are 3 wires in that harness. Which one do I want to splice into?

If it wasn't almost midnight, I would go outside and start running the test light to find out :D

If you can't find out between now and tomorrow at about noon, I'll have an answer for you

well, the sho looks SWEEET with them, but they are definitely ONLY an appearance upgrade. They definitely don't brighten up the road. I think the slits in the bumper prohibits the fogs lightbeams.
Do yours work well, gluemaker? Do you have any pics. of their light pattern on the road at night?
