FOG LIGHTS!!!!!

my fog lights wont turn on all of a-sudden!!! when I first got the car only one was out and the switch inside the car was fine.

now all of a-sudden when I hit the switch inside of my car the light on the button itself doesnt come on anymore when I press it on. Whats going on? is this just because both are out now? or what? will the light on the button not come on if no fog lights are operating? I dont know...but I NEED foglights...

oh, by the way they are the factory fog lights, and when I checked on them after school today (after my race w/ my friends 2001 GTP---i won!!!) i noticed that there was like something loose inside of one and it aappeared to be yellow...i didnt check the other one. Any suggestions on what to do, or what could be wrong?

i would go to a junk yard and get a new switch. if that doens't work try the foglight fuse. the foglight fuse is not where the other fuses are. i had trouble finding mine. it is all by itself. look under the dash, take off the metal part of the dash underneath the steering wheel to get a better look. it only has 4 hex bolts. if i remember correctly the fuse is in a light gray or white harness. it could be even black. you will see the fuse in it. good luck.

My fog light switch stopped lighting one day. I thought Oh great, I'm going to have to buy a new switch for what, about $100 at the dealer? I'm a millwright and I hate having to pay money for anything without first trashing it because it is "user unserviceable" so I took it out thinking it was led's inside that I would have to replace. It turns out there are 2 # 37 bulbs inside. To open I used a flat blade screwdriver between the case and the back plate one side at a time until I hab the back plate off. You can do it, just watch and have the face of the switch in the downward position because there is a spring and balls and a copper wiper inside that you don't want to lose ore end up in the wrong place. Took my time and it was about a difficulty of 4 out of 10.

You didn"t say what year it was. Mine's an 89 and I know that the fog lights do not use a relay for them until about 91 or 92. There is a link ank the colour codes on the back of the switch at showtimes under mods, fog light switch I think.I know its there but may not be under exactly what I said but close.
