Can anyone post some pics of the 2 ends of the jumper wires for the fog lights on a GII and the back of a factory bulb? I bought some jumper wires to go to the back of the lights from the main harness, and I still don't have the right ends for my lights. When I bought the car, they had ordered new Hella's for it, and I got those brand new, but now I'm not sure if those are even right... I'll try to get some pics of what I have...

Thanx

yeah, pics of the backs of the fogs/bulbs where it connects to the bulb might help. are you talking about the oval shaped jumper harness that goes from further up into the bumper and plugs into the foglight wires and the other end plugs into the bulb? There should be one for each side with 2 wires/pins each. I know some cars had the jumper harness with the one end but had butt connectors for the fogs on later gen 2s because ford ran outta fog parts and started using whatever they had left like they did with the suspensions. i think they did use hella but there were other brands too cause of the same part shortage. all the bulbs should be 8XX bulb number or something i'll have to check for u so they should all have the same connector on the one end.

thanks- I'll try to get some pics. And I don't know why I posted this in the E&A Upgrades forum. Must have been on an inhale or something...

OK. Here are some pics- when I got the car, there were no foglights, they were on order. The wires were in bags, banded and taped up for protection, following an accident.

When I opened them up, they were round. When I got the bulbs, they were oblong. OK, so I figured there must be another wire, becasue I could barely get the wires to the lamps. So I got a set of jumpers on eBay, and they showed up with one end fitting the bulbs, but the other end not fitting my harness...

Here are the Hella's I got

Here are the backs of the bulbs in the foglights

Here is the bulb end of my jumper harness

Here is the harness end of my jumper harness

Here is the empty plug on my main light harness

Did I maybe get stuck with a Gen I harness or something? :oogle:

the pics helped alot. i know exactly what is wrong. don't worry, you didn't get the wrong jumpers off ebay and you don't have the wrong foglights. your problem is with the so-called gen2 foglight harnesses that were in the baggies. those harnesses look like they are for a gen1. the gen1 and gen2 both shared the same size bulb, but the connectors on the jumpers were different. mainly in the pins. the gen2 uses flat pins in all connections, the gen1 used some flat, some round. someone must've just took some other foglight harnesses and put them in the bagges to pass them off like they came with the car. if you don't feel like looking for a correct gen2 harness then you can just cut off the harness plugs to your light and jumper harnesses and splice them together.
