Is there supposed to be a jumper wire going between the harness and the foglights? When I bought my car, the previous owner had ordered new Hella's for it, and the plugs on the back of the lights are different from the plugs on the main harness going to the car. I noticed that there was a set of lights on EBay that had included a 8-10" harness that looked like what I needed, but I missed the bid. Am I missing a part? Does anyone have some?

Thanx...

are you attempting to run the lights through the stock harness, or are you intending on using the relayed harness supplied with the fogs?

for my blazers, I used the supplied harness and instead of using the switch included with the kit, I cut the harness that led to the stock fog lamp and soldered it to the necesssary wire on the relay. The made it very easy to plug into the car....

those are the factory harnesses. I would recommend powering the Hellas via the harness that they come with.

Does your car have factory fog lights currently?

Well, sort of... :nut:

When I bought the car, the owner had painted the front cover, following a small drive-into-a-Catera at a traffic light. The fogs broke, so he ordered some new ones from Hella. They are the factory lights that came to me, but there was nothing in the car when I got it. The harness in there had plastic bags taped over the harness plugs, and the plugs there do not match the plugs on the Hella's. The plug on one side would need to be stretched quite hard to reach the light which is what prompted me to think there would be another wire in there somewhere.

ah, I see....the fog lights that you recieved are OEM replacements, and don't include the pig tail harness.

I'd put a WTB post up looking for some.
