floor/defrost randomly turns on

I've had this problem for awhile, the floor and defrost setting on the football randomly turns on. Sometimes it's when i press 5 or 6 on the radio presets, sometimes it will pop on instead of AUTO being on, sometimes everything will be off and it randomly comes on. Anyone else have this problem or any ideas of what it could be? I'm thinking there is a short somewhere.

with GenI/II there's a blower control module that tends to fry itself with water damage... that gives similar symptoms. Don't know if they did it the same way on GenIII.

hmm actually that sounds like a probabal cause... i had a grand prix in where i work a few months ago that had that same problem, maybe ill give that a try


p.s. ive never actually purchases a blower control module, just replaced them, so about how much do they cost?

ok just another thought... why would the buttons on the radio affect that?
